Load a Scheme

To load a scheme:

1.Go to Tools > ScreenWizard in the Audience.foundation File Menu to close Audience.foundation and open ScreenWizard.

2.Optional: Set the path to your schemes if necessary. (Go to Setup > Set Scheme Directory and browse to the directory or drive where the zipped schemes are saved).

3.Select the Scheme by double-clicking on it. You can sort the schemes by thumbnail, number of zones, scheme resolution, orientation (landscape or portrait) or by categories, to help you quickly select your scheme). If the scheme uses fonts that are not loaded on your computer, ScreenWizard will automatically load them. To disable this option, remove the checkmark next to "install fonts if included".

4.Install the Scheme. To install the scheme, press the Yes button and then select from the following playback options (some options may not be available):

  • Overwrite existing playback. Only use this option if you are certain that you want to overwrite all zones, magazines, pages and templates that are currently in your Audience.foundation screen. Re-loading the scheme will overwrite changes to existing elements within the scheme, but all new elements will still be available. If you want to delete everything and start from scratch again with the new scheme, you should rename the digimation directory and then re-load the scheme using "Use the playback name from scheme". See Rename Digimation Directory.
  • Use the playback name from scheme. This creates a new playback, and uses the playback name that is in the scheme (you can see the name at the bottom left of the dialog box: "c:\digimation\playbacks\PLAYBACKNAME.ply.xml"). This option is disabled if a playback of the same name already exists.
  • Make new playback based on the screen name within the playback.
  • Rename playback using this name… and give the playback a short one-word name.

5.Select OK to install the scheme.

6.In the next dialog box, you will asked how to deal with duplicates. You can usually safely select "overwrite", but if you want to see which files will be overwritten, select "prompt". Normally the following files will be overwritten: startup.cdr, and graphic files in the c:\digimation\elements\weather and \stock directories. Most schemes contain images for weather and stock pages, and these images are all named the same. Unless you have modified those graphics, you can safely overwrite them.

ScreenWizard loads the scheme. If Audience.foundation does not automatically start, start it manually.
